icfar Long term experiments (LTEs)

ICFAR Long Term Experiment (LTE) are agronomic field plot experiments integrated into Long Term Experimental Platforms (LTP) which are equipped with permanent devices for monitoring specific processes (e.g. soil moisture, CO2 efflux).
The LTEs are located in different environmental contexts of the north (Turin, Padua, Bologna), centre (Ancona, Perugia, Pisa) and south (Foggia) of Italy. See LTEs map

ICFAR sets up a path that will allow the intercomparison, validation and improvement of cropping system models through LTEs' data to assess impacts and develop adaptation strategies vs ongoing climate change.
